What Inspires You?

Aging Gracefully

Born and raised in Central Europe in a little apartment above the town market, far too young and spirited to recognize, though we had very little, we were rich in history and family values.

As a tour bus driver traveling through Prague and Italy, the use of the word "old-world" to describe the appearance of an exterior structure or landscape was baffling. Native to our normal surroundings and common in our everyday living, we associated this broken charm with our history and lived very modestly without question.

The natural aging process of an architectural structure gracefully transforms through the texture of cement, layers of paint, swift changes in temperature and lack of attention to which has ironically created this old-world presence we admire so much today.

Faux finishes, plasters, and distressed textures simulate a long-term effect of aging therefore adding history without waiting centuries.

It has been my pleasure to recreate the wonder of old-world finishes through art, color and texture from my home to yours.

Farmhouse and Cottage Décor

Charming and comfortable, yet slightly different in many ways.

Farmhouse style often refers to a type of architecture with rustic features associated with materials made of stone, wood and metal, warm and inviting, charming and cozy.

I like to think of French Country décor mixing modern with primitive.

Coastal Interior

Coastal Interior designs are not going anywhere, anytime soon.

The beauty of the exterior affords a relaxing timeless color pallet on the interior as well.

So many soothing, luxurious shades to choose from for every room of the home.

All you need are a few good sea shells, a bit of sea grass, natural elements of driftwood, jute, linen, bamboo and rattan for a truly inspiration living space.

Neutrals and white are often a sophisticated place to start for the beachy minimalist, or consider a more bohemian style with crisp, clean shiplap and a burst of terracotta and textures for pattern mixing.

Incorporate a dynamic look by layering contrasting shades of cream, winter white, sand and hummingbird egg.

Make a statement with a splash of coral, pink shell, eye catching peacock, teak, mandarin, turquoise and forest green.

Contemporary, Open Concept, Transitional & Modern Living

Not quite sure which direction is right for you?

TRANSITIONAL living spaces bring forth a harmony of blending styles, combining old and new and mixing them together with elements that create symmetry with layers of texture.

Dominant neutral flavors of taupe, beige, tan, textured carpeting, white linens, with accent pillows of blue orange or green to add a bit of drama to the muted interior. Rich wood of walnut, oak, teak wood, and mahogany.

Natural light is also a plus accentuating deep water grays including slate, ash, gunmetal, blue gray and vintage.

Button tufted furniture or mix and match, where traditional meets modern. Sophisticated and elegant, but not necessarily formal.

Contemporary lighting, hardware and mirrors. Minimal artwork and accessories with metal frames in one room while oil paintings in another. Floating shelves might be of some interest.

Creating a balance with the classic elegance of clean lines combined with modern material for style and comfort with decades of popularity.
